The Law Club with Chris Daw KC is a groundbreaking legal mentoring and entertainment platform, aimed at anyone with an interest in law, the courts, crime and punishment.

Bringing together the various strands of Chris’ busy legal and media lives, the hub of The Law Club is its YouTube channel, where tens of thousands have viewed a mixture of inspirational mentoring videos, hard-hitting commentary on legal and political issues, and broader entertainment content, with a legal theme.

In 2025, through Framewood Media, Chris and The Law Club will release regular video content, including an exciting new legal reality show, Raising the Bar, which follows the journeys of an eclectic group of candidates, from a variety of interesting and unconventional backgrounds, as they complete the year-long process to apply for “pupillage”, the route for law students to become practising barristers.  

With often hundreds of applications per pupillage, and most doomed to fail, Raising the Bar lifts the lid on the ultra-competitive world of the English Bar and brings to life the extraordinary sacrifices candidates must make even to make it onto the bottom rung of the legal career ladder.  Heartbreak, rejection and exaltation abound as our candidates give everything they’ve got to pursue their dreams of donning the famous wig and gown and standing to address a court for the very first time.
